I've been "carless" for about a week now. Matt and I sold our 2000 Honda Civic very unexpectedly last week when we took it to a mechanic at our church. It was a good riddance since Matt's been driving that car with no AC in the San Fernando Valley for over a year now. So being at home all day without a car and not being able to go anywhere, I was going a little nuts. So today, Matt and I carpooled to his work. I dropped him off at his work and now I'm at startbucks waiting for 12 o'clock to hit for his lunch break. I packed myself a laptop, an ipod, and a chemistry book to last me a day. I already finished my usual internet routine: gmail, facebook, citiville, msn, and naver. And now, I'm starting something that I haven't done for a while, blogging on the internet. Let's see how long that will last.
Other than being sick of staying home all day, today is the Amgen's annual Chilli Festival Day. When I went last year for the first time, I was surprised at how big the event was with tents set up everywhere, party planner team to professionally organize the event, a stage for a karaoke, and family with kids all around the campus. Basically, Amgen employees form teams and have a contest to see who makes the best chili. It's just really nice to see companies having big events like that and of course, along with that there's free dinner.

There is not much to eat or make something to eat at our home. We're moving tomorrow to Sherman Oaks and I've been trying not to fill our refrigerator with grocery. Packing is almost done with few necessaries left behind. I'm pretty excited to go from 670 sq. ft. to 750 sq. ft with cover parking for two cars plus a carport and a room to put our bike in our parking spot. It's not much but our small apartment in woodland hills has been filling up. yay for moving a little closer to LA and friends and family. but boo for my husband's longer commute.
and that's it for today
